Last night, Joe Bonamassa effortlessly held the attention of thousands at Nottingham Capital FM Arena. A rescheduled gig from last year due to a bout of the flu, it was definitely a performance worth waiting for. Flawless, breathtaking, funny and charming - it's been two years since the last time I saw Joe and he somehow managed to get
even better. Blues Deluxe, in particular, was just beautiful.
The highlight was definitely Bonamassa's impression of a Brit calling one of his songs a 'corker' - Americans trying to impersonate the English accent is always hilarious, especially as it always ends up sounding like Hugh Grant. Sitting on row 'N' and having to smuggle in my camera made for a challenging evening of photography, but here's a taster of the night:
