Sometimes the trends we're most intrigued by are the ones we're least likely to ever wear. Well, this is how I felt about Topshop's make-up recently at London Fashion Week.
Showcasing trends for A/W 13, all of Topshop's models had a dewy, light coverage, heavy sculpting, a light coat of mascara and 'cornflower' blue eyeshadow dusted over and under their eyes.
For some reason, blue eyeshadow has always made me a bit nauseous. But when I saw coverage of Topshop's show - I was inexplicably intrigued.
Earlier today I found myself hanging out of my bedroom window (don't worry, I live on the ground floor) due to a flatmate's indoor smoking habit and the tendency of my throat narrowing at even the word 'smoke'. My make-up collection also happens to be on my windowsill, and it wasn't long before I got distracted.
So here's my take on the trend. I say my take because, as
wow thats such a pretty eye look i love the colour!:)

Aw thank you - it took a bit of mixing of a few colours but I got there in the end! :)
DeleteThis looks great especially with your brown eyes. I think if I tried this with my blue eyes it may look a bit ill looking! x
ReplyDeleteAw thank you :) there's only one way to find out - it could look lovely! xxx
DeleteIt does work lovely with such chocolatey eyes! I don't tend to wear makeup very often, but it's more of a confidence thing; if you think it looks good and went out feeling good, then you're working the colour and not the other way around :3
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah I agree - although I think this could did work me!! xxx
