Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant: A review

In November's Glossybox I received a sample of Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant. I've never written a product review before, so perhaps in this case actions speak louder than words, and that fact alone gives you a hint at how much I love it.
Dermalogica Microfoliant

Dermalogica is a completely new brand to me. It describes the Daily Microfoliant as: a “gentle, rice-based exfoliating powder [that] activates upon contact with water, releasing Papain, Salicylic Acid and Rice Enzymes that micro-exfoliate dead cells, instantly leaving skin smoother and brighter. Formulated without artificial fragrances and colors [sic].”

For me, there are two sides to any beauty product: what it does and how it feels. For instance, I love toner because I enjoy the ritual of pouring it on a cotton pad, and the fresh, clean-faced feeling that follows, as well as what it does to my skin. The Daily Microfoliant ticks both of these boxes. I've only been using it for around three weeks, but I can see a noticeable difference to my skin, and I can feel it, too.

With minimal effort (pouring half a teaspoon's worth of the powder onto wet hands before gently rubbing it on my face for one minute) I feel like I'm having a daily spa break. My skin feels so much smoother, exactly how you'd expect to feel if all of the dead skin cells and embedded dirt has been removed from your face. This product leaves my skin feeling better than any other single product I've ever used.

It's quite a pricey product for the full-size bottle, but my sample size is still going strong. You only need a small amount to cover your face - the ingredients are so good that a tiny bit does the job. It's amazing how something so gentle makes such a difference.

I don't often encourage the merging of two words (anyone who says 'amazeballs' or 'chillax', I'm referring to you), but this Microfoliant is the best merged word my skin has ever felt.
